Jake Mellor – CEO

As the co-CEO of AlphaMark Tax Jake brings over 10 years of experience in tax, accounting and financial services. Using advanced tax strategies, many previously only available to major corporations, Jake has been able to save his clients hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Jake’s collaboration with some of the top CPA’s and financial advisors brings these advanced strategies for tax reduction and wealth creation to his clients. Jake’s primary goal is to be his client’s trusted advisor providing insightful advice that enables them to make informed financial decisions.

Jake’s goal of becoming his client’s trusted advisor coupled with his belief in the importance of continual professional education led him to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in 2012.

He has a Bachelors in Corporate Finance, a Masters in Business Administration, and a Masters of Accountancy from Southern Utah University. He is also fluent in English and Spanish.

Jake has been the President for two years back-to-back of the Utah Central National Association of Insurance and Financial advisors (NAIFA). He has also qualified for various awards and recognitions throughout his career, even at an early age.

Jake has been a County Commissioner during a four-year term from 2015 to 2018 for Carbon County, Utah.

He has served on various advisory boards both civic and professionally and has represented the State of Utah at various levels before the national legislators on issues of policy and regulation.

Jake has also served in the armed forces for the Utah Army National Guard and honorably completed one tour in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom during 2007-2008.

Jake is also the owner of several other businesses that provide fractional CFO Services, Business Consulting, Investment Advice, Risk Management, and Capital Solutions.
